Additional lists for WH Armies?

The hardback copy of WH Armies I picked up recently had a Norse list from WD slotted in the back, does anyone know of other full army lists that appeared in WD or elsewhere?

I remember fondly the Zombie Pirates and Gnoblar Horde army lists. The former is only viable if you are opposed to winning games and would need to be scrapped and remade but the latter can be played with other armies fairly well and could work with just some tweaks.

There's a few extra troop types and whatnot dotted around in adverts - Dwarf Ski troops come to mind.

By around WD141 stuff starts to look like proto-4th Edition.

Damn! I was hoping it was some kind of Beholder army, that would be sweet. Hordes of eyeballs bobbing towards you over the field of battle, spells blasting left and right... Fimm, we should get on this!

Wasn't there a slann mercenary list, or am I confusing that with something else?

Slann mercenaries are in white dwarf 96. As I recall they will work for any old world list except brettonians for obvious culinary reasons

gnoblar horde was interesting. My buddy wrote that list and had his army pics in the WD issue as well. I feel like you won't see something like that happen today.

Are Gnoblars older than 6th ed then? Don't remember ever hearing about them until the mid 2000s.

QFT I have this army and in points balanced games against real players it can never win. But in friendly games, or imbalanced campaign games, they have a role to play. When the opposition is also a weak list (for story reasons) then it's fun to play them and they feign functionality. As I've a number of the Tom Meier Lizardmen & Troglodytes I'd like a suitable army list for, in addition to the reluctant allies to the Slann; but I'm quite happy to run with what I have for now
