So then... After four years of collecting and not really painting much beyond fodder that mostly goes back to eBay. I'm going to start off this project I've had my mind on.
The goal being to paint a sizeable Bretonnian army containing every model in the fifth edition line.
The inspiration came from an eBay purchase long ago, a literal car load of Warhammer. Paint, books, cases, the lot. Included a complete sixth edition Bretonnian army box as well as Dwarfs and much more besides.
From the whole lot though, it was the fifth edition Grail Knights that caught my eye most of all. Confirming what I had on the stuff of legends website I looked at them more and more. I decided I want them. All of them.
Further research and I find Crown and Command and Dan Buman on YouTube. Epic stuff!
Always did have a fondness for Arthurian legend, knights in shining armour, jousting, damsels, Agincourt and the crusades, the whole honour and chivalrous nature of times past. The brutality of it all. And never bothered with fantasy before, was always more into 40k.
So anyway, much eBay searching and many fun coupons exchanged and here we are! Very nearly all of them. And now here the real quest begins... The painting 🎨
A sneak peek of my Market Scene entry. This dude is kicking things off. He looks like a Bret to me. Some final highlights needed and a much better photograph and I'll be calling him done. I've enjoyed painting him 😁

And then a decision. What to paint next? I'm thinking of doing Errant, KotR, Questing, Grail in that order, with MaA, Archers and the odd character in between.
I got a compressor long ago and it was never even used. I've dug out all the paints and brushes and have a temporary set up at my mum's. I'm converting a van to live in at the same time. If I'm rained off or it's sub zero like it has been the last few days I'm going to be getting some painting in and smoking some skunk LOL let's do this!
