As I don't have enough miniatures to paint - only 3000 point Undead, Orc, Nurgle and Bretonnian armies, I thought it would be a good time to start collecting and converting a small Empire force based on the Marauder Miniatures "rennaissance style" fighters.
I have the marauder command which will join a unit of halberdiers when I can get my hands on some, 8 marauder ogres and I have just finished converting a cannon crew...
I have not had to cut any of the crewmen, just added greenstuff. The marauder crewman with the "powder packer" has a spear that I simply covered in green stuff, and the citadel laborer has had some fetching rennaissance trousers complete with bows on the sides of the knees, matching shoes and feathery bonnet. Im undecided whether to leave him shirtless - I may give him a waistcoat or have him holding his shirt in his left hand as if he has removed it to do some heavy lifting.
