Wanted 25mm Slotta Bases

you can still buy them from a number of places.. though I find most modern Slotta bases are only diagonal for some reason.. or blanks.. the days of cutouts for both horizontal or diagonal depending on tastes is long gone it appears ¬_¬

Thanks.
I am after the originals.
The 20mm originals are a slightly different size and height to all of the various modern ones I have bought.
I am assuming the 25mm are the same.

The 20mm slota base ebay lots I have bookmarked should I need any are:

40x diag slot bases for £14
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375529386608
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375529386369

20x straight slot bases for ~£13
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156429238046

I would imagine I have them saved as they were the best value ones I could find.
25mm seem harder to come by, I remember spending quite a while hunting down some a while back. I'm assuming if these are GW orcs then it's 25mm you want.

That all said you can buy 25mm from GW, but without slots ... https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/shop/warhammer-the-old-world-25x25mm-bases-100-pack-2024 - £31 for 100. I would assume they would match the older ones size wise.

Thinking about it GW must still make slotta bases since they have been doing the re-releases for Old World and that "old lead" is all slotta. Some of what they have done must have been on 25mm square by now? Maybe my searching wasn't very good on the website. Might be worth a quick call to their customer services (which have always been very friendly) just to ask if they sell 20 and 25mm slotta bases with, err, slots. Maybe it's something you can pick up at Warhammer World if they don't sell online?

sorry it's slighty unrelated but.. I wonder how Citadel was the first to use, or atleast come up with the 'slotta' term, there was alot of bad reviews (if some letters from the time are to be believed) and now pretty much everyone does it.. modern GW would have sooo trade marked the name if not kinda get a patent on the idea if they could..

No patent but they did © GW even on the early ones. I remember a lot of people hated them. The new-fangled plastic shields too.

yeah.. much harder to find them 2 way slot ones these days apart from old used ones and I do find when having to remove some old figures from a base, the bases mostly snap (well, that gives little plastic to keep them strong
