Keeping your data secure

Your data will be stored on server located in UK owned by our hosting provider. They are kept in secure data centres. Both physical and remote access to the servers is strictly controlled. Passwords are hashed, other fields are not stored encrypted.

• StopForumSpam

  We do pass some information a third party for security purposes, checking new registrations only against the StopForumSpam database. We query your username, IP address and email address via its EU API. All data queried via the API is recorded in the way of web server logs at StopForumspam. They state: "These logs are kept for a period of seven days and are used for abuse and intrusion monitoring. After seven days, they are removed from the server. Some off site backups may contain partial log data. Off site backups are encrypted. No log data has been disclosed to anyone (and never will be)."

Rights

You have a right to access the personal data we hold about you or obtain a copy of it. To do so please contact us. If you believe that the information we hold for you is incomplete or inaccurate, you may contact us to ask us to complete or correct that information.

Conversations / Private Messages

Whilst forum staff do not have causal access to Conversations (private/direct messages) sent between members such messages are monitored in an attempt to ensure they do not breach the UK Online Safety Act and as such should not be considered private.

Cloudflare Turnstile

In some places in the forum we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile is a variation on CAPTCHAs to help try to reduce automated spamming of the forum. They will inevitably gather some data and you may which to avail yourself of their policies.

Acceptance of this policy

Continued use of our site signifies your acceptance of this policy. If you do not accept the policy then please do not use this site. When registering we will further request your explicit acceptance of the privacy policy.
