Wow, pure undiluted Oldhammer! What a stunning set of games, dang there goes my afternoon as I pour over the photos on your blog. Love it!

Holy mother of mofos.
That is magnificent and you are a proper legend for letting people play with it.
That is proper nice that is.

Wow Fimm, what a thing of beauty, you really have excelled yourself on the reproduction. Stunning.
I'm with Michael I'd have made them all wear cotton gloves ;)

What an achievement. Top marks sir!

Indeed, some right dodgy characters amongst that crowd… ;)
Stunning craftsmanship making that board, would love to see it in real life!!

It was a pleasure to join you for the weekend and play balanced, well thought out games with your figures, in good company, thanks for the invite.

Are the scenarios you played available somewhere?
The Terror of the Lichemaster box set and Citadel Journal Spring 1986 are the sources. The La Masontaal game (Vengeance of the Lichemaster) is from the latter if my memory serves. Someone will no doubt correct me if it has failed me! :)

I'm probably wrong but I remember him saying at some point about it's kinda based on them but a 'third' story so an original possible one

Thank you, a place for me to start :)

Well, maybe not wholly balanced... but I think not foregone conclusion based on troops available.

Scenario 1: A Real Brainbiter
On the tip of a peninsula out in the Sea of Chaos the High Elves have built a temple to guard a fearsome Chaos blade. Unable to destroy it, they have buried it deep, surrounded it with fortifications and stand guard over it day and night. Two forces have heard the rumour of the blade. From Norsca the tribe of the Horny King have set sail to claim it for their lord. From the west the Fimir are mustering, hoping that by claiming the blade as their own they can restore their standing with the Chaos powers.

Fimir and Barbarian Objective:
Capture the weapon Brainbiter and escape off the board with it.

High Elf Objective:
Prevent Brainbiter being taken from the temple. At the end of every turn beginning on turn 4 roll 1D3 and add the turn number. On a 7 or more the game ends.

If the Fimir capture Brainbiter it will pass into the hands of an ancestor of Lord Harris when he defeats the clan. Lord Harris can take the Family Runesword in the final scenario.

If the Barbarians capture Brainbiter it will pass down through the generations as the tribe civilise and become the founders of the Blue Blooded Bandits. Adolphus Zwemmer can take the Chaos Runesword in the final scenario.
